Research Purpose
○Agriculture is actively pursuing changes in response to global and domestic factors to secure stable food production and boost competitiveness. Consequently, several agricultural models have been proposed for the future. There is a growing trend toward developing agriculture as a future-oriented industry by integrating advanced technologies such as IT (information technology), ET (environmental technology), NT (nanotechnology), and BT (biotechnology). This shift is driving innovations aimed at transforming traditional agricultural systems, which tend to have lower productivity than other industries, rely on conventional R&D approaches, and are labor intensive. Among these transformations, industries focusing on enhancing sustainability and competitiveness in agriculture are emerging as new growth sectors. A prominent example of this new growth is smart agriculture.
